What it is like for kids living in Three-Rivers

by Roger Narbonne

Living in Three Rivers is fantastic! In my text I will only be talking about cool things about Three-Rivers because I cannot recall anything boring about this town. Living in Three-Rivers is advantageous because it is a medium-sized town. This means you can benefit from a wide range of activities that take place not too far from your house. The downtown area is interesting, and it can be amazing to play in the town's sports leagues. As you will find out below, my two sisters have other opinions about the town so if you want to discover them, read along!

Living in Three-Rivers can be awesome for all kinds of enjoyable activities. An example is skiing because there are two cool skiing places near Three-Rivers. Skating rinks are always a 5-minute car ride from your house. In the summer, you can go on the nearby enormous water slides a couple of towns over, and on bike trails. These are the activities that I like to do, but there are many more activities that other people like to do – like walking in the beautiful old downtown area which has a library with a huge kid's books section, and several mouthwatering restaurants.

In Three-Rivers there is a vast variety of sports to play. If you want to play in a sports league in Three-Rivers, I am sure it will be available. This year I have played hockey and even lacrosse. Plus, sports teams in Three-Rivers can be superior to teams from other towns because it is a medium-sized town. Big towns are split into little parts but in Three-Rivers, we get the talent of the whole town! Sure enough, this year my hockey team won the Mauricie championship!

Here are my sisters’ opinions. My little 5-year-old sister loves to live in Three-Rivers because there are flowers everywhere and the ice cream place is extra delicious! My 9-year-old sister enjoys Three-Rivers because of the pools and the nice summer weather that is not too hot, but she does not like the freezing winters. However, I feel that this would be true anywhere in Québec.

Finally, living in Three Rivers to me is magnificent because it is not too far from activities like fishing and skiing. I love the variety of activities and sports that you can do like tennis, lacrosse, swimming, and so much more. Thirdly, often our teams are extraordinarily strong. Thank you for reading and enjoy Three-Rivers!
