All About Comic Books!

Hi! It’s me again. In this essay I am going to talk to you about comic books. I am going to tell you about our favorites (mine and my family’s), about their stories and the best places to get them for good deals.
My favorite comic book is Lucky Luke. It is a story about a cowboy who is faster at shooting than his own shadow. He catches various criminals, but most of the time, it’s the Dalton brothers. The tallest of the Dalton brothers is named Averell Dalton and he is very silly. The shortest is named Joe Dalton and he is always mad, especially at Lucky Luke and sometimes also at Averell. My sister’s favorite comic book is The Smurfs. The smurfs are as tall as 3 apples and are completely blue. They live in a mushroom village in the forest where they have all kinds of adventures with their wizard enemy Gargamel, who is human. My sisters and I also like Asterix which is a story about a character from Gaul. Asterix is always with his companion Obelix, and they live in the only unconquered village in the time of Julius Caesar. Most of the books are about how the two heroes, helped by the magic potion prepared by the village’s druid, prevent Julius Cesar from conquering their village. My dad’s favorite comic book is Buck Danny. It is a story about an amazing and spectacular American military jet pilot. The pilot’s name is Buck Danny and he has all kinds of missions and sometimes millions of lives depend on him. To conclude this paragraph, my mom and I really like Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin is a hilarious 6- year-old boy who has a lot of imagination and he is also very naughty. Hobbes is a tiger and is Calvin’s best companion. When someone other than Calvin is with Hobbes, Hobbes becomes a stuffed tiger. But when only Calvin is with Hobbes, Hobbes is a real tiger. The stories are short cartoons that are so funny.
If you just got interested in comic books after reading this first paragraph, I can tell you where to borrow or to buy the best ones for the best deals. To borrow them I would say the best places to get them are public libraries. At our library there are various complete comic book series. That way, if you like a type of comic book, you can continue reading the whole series. They have all the comic book series that I told you about in the first paragraph, but of course they also have other series that you might prefer. My favourite place to buy comic books cheaply is Value Village, although they do not always have a huge selection! It is a good place for buying used comic books because if you are missing a book to read in the series, they might have it there. It’s about $1 to $5 for one book, so it is a really good way to save money. Reading used books is not a problem and it is also good for the planet.
In conclusion my family’s favorite comic books are Asterix, Smurfs, Lucky Luke, Buck Danny and Calvin and Hobbes. The best places to borrow comic books are libraries and the best place to buy used comic books for cheap is Value Village.
